Tidbits on me..

Hello there.

Here are some tidbits you might not know about me...

  • I am deathly afraid of spiders. I have nightmares on the reg. if I see one during the daytime.

  • I have never broken a bone. Although, I do think I had stubbed my little toe enough to feel like I broke it.

  • I played select softball. My. Entire. Childhood. My nickname was "Big Guns", I could launch that ball with my arm, or the bat, played short stop. - One of my best accomplishments yet.

  • I LOVE FOOD, I will say it all day, I was supposed to be a 600 lb. person. Maybe God said, No, here is Diabetes to slow your love of food down.

  • I love my hair, its my thing-when I was school-age, I hid behind it, used it as my comfort. I love doing hair, fixing, cutting, coloring, styling! Just ask Alexandria, she'll tell ya ;)

  • I am a total lover- not a fighter, but my mom and husband would like to say that I can argue the heck out of anything. Or, I would have made a mean attorney.

  • I do not have a lot of friends, but I love people. As a child my mom would tell you that I could make friends with a brick wall if it talked back.

  • The older I get, the more I realize, I AM getting older lol. I kind of love it..

  • I love to clean, I hate doing the laundry.

  • I have lost a brother and my father, both were too young to go, but I know they are still with me.

  • I love the nature and outdoorsy things- in moderation, after a while I worry there are spiders around me. I went camping once, but stayed in a double-wide instead of a tent (furnished with a T.V.)

  • I love to tell jokes, but am terrible at it.-Knock Knock- who's there- Boo- Boo who?-  Don't cry please. SEE??

  • Lastly-- better make this a good one... I have four tattoos! They are all covered, unless I say so...with the exception of the Kanji sign for beauty, on my foot. LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHERS WHEN THEY TELL YOU... "Do not get visible tattoos, if you plan on working in the corporate setting." DANG, should have listened mom :)

Well I hope this is entertaining for you.
I would love to hear something interesting about you, too!

What happened this weekend...

Happy Monday!! The answer to my title, is NOTHING!

This was me all weekend. Wine and Cheesecake.

Cesar made, from scratch, cheesecake. MY FAVORITE. It was a personal battle to not eat every bite of it, I would even go as far as saying this is, not only Cesar's personal best, this is the best cheesecake I have ever eaten. Cesar was disappointed that the cheesecake cracked... but I don't even know what that is supposed to mean.
I drank wine, watched movies, deep cleaned my home ,snuggled my cats and husband. The only thing I really was not able to scratch off my list from last week was taking pictures at White Rock Lake, that will be another weekend. I felt like the cleaning and relaxing was exactly what my Dr. ordered. I actually feel like I am making head-way on things. We have gotten some really HUGE news, that I am not really ready to share yet... (not a baby), but this is life changing/altering news that has really had us doing the happy dance for a while. I have also been working on new material for my blog.

Anyhow, I hope you have a wonderful Monday, see you tomorrow!

Wow, already + Feelin Funky

Is this not hilarious??
Hey Guys!

I am so thankful it is already Thursday, aren't you? This week has been a tricky one...

I thought, hmm.... I should write up a blog post. I had some really cool things planned this week, but apparently everyone else is too busy to assist me ( I needed someone's help). I will continue to figure this blogger schedule out, so I do not need to rely on any others help. I do not know what is wrong, but I have been in a major funk. It has literally been since like, the beginning of January and I cannot shake it. You know when you have those gut instances that something bad is happening, or going too? That has been the feeling, I do not know what it is, but I have been really fighting to keep sane. LOL I am hesitant to talk  much about my personal feelings, but I know everyone gets into funks, my goal is to get out fast. There has been one fun thing this week, and it was that I bought the 'Beyonce' Album.. ITS FREAKING AWESOME! Seriously, love it! Maybe if I create a list of things to do this weekend it might help...

This weekend, I want to:
Clean
Mani/Pedi
Shoot some pictures out at White Rock Lake
Make someone smile
Make myself smile :)
Cook some yummy food
Start watching House of Cards, or something good.
Do something creative
Read my pile of magazines

I have also been thinking that I would like to not be so ghostly, maybe try a spray tan, or try that one by myself lol (If it is a disaster, I swear I will share the humor). I do not want to look like a tiger, orange, or like leather face!

I feel like I need a GIANT check list to work off of, the only problem is that I feel like I have been writing check lists and checking them off since January with no go... Maybe this list will work.

Hold it to me ladies :)

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Mellow Date Night

Happy Monday!!

This weekend consisted of :
Cleaning
Eating
Dating
Loving

We headed out to Dallas to hit North Park Mall, got lost, ended up finding a gorgeous spot for pictures and it being too late to get many shots. Once we ate ,found our way, we headed home and found our new favorite date night spot. We were hoping to head to Razoo's, a new one went up down the street; but, we ended up at Houlihan's. Best decision, it was quiet, fire going, perfectly romantic, dim lighting, and delicious food and drinks.

I miss this past weekend already.

Year One. Happy First Blogiversary!

Holy Toledo! What a year.

I cannot believe I sat down a year ago, bit the bullet and thought, I AM going to start a blog. I had no idea I would actually follow through. I have grown so in love with blogging, it is my creative outlet, my challenge, and a motivator to keep it up! I look at blogs that I have followed for years and think, Wow, I have made it to the one year mark, it is smooth sailing from here...

Never in a million years did I think that I would have a blog, with followers, period.
Let alone, ladies whom I have connected with, learned from, and have a blast following and hearing what they have to say. Thank you, ladies... for following, reading, commenting, and caring! I cannot wait to look back years from now, and say, Wow, look at the differences in my life. This is, after all, my little space in the world. I was really trying to think hard on what I would talk about today, but really, I just want anyone reading this to know, that I am thankful to have such a space, to call my own, and that I have stuck with it. Not that I did not have faith, but I do not think I realized what a fun challenge this would be. I want to say thank you for following, and reading. I hope that I will continue to bring content that draws followers in, and keeps you around. My goal when starting this blog, was to work on something challenging for myself, start from scratch and continue until I no longer felt it in my heart. I can only look forward and hope that there will be a family expansions, new homes, many adventures and love along with the stories I tell.

So again, thank you for following along.

Heart = Melted.

I thought this might cheer a dull, rainy day...

I was talking with my friend this morning about my love for Elvis, not only because he was my Nana's favorite, but because when I was little, my father had the Elvis gospel cassette tape and I loved Elvis' gospel.

She showed me this video, and I cried, tears of happiness from the pure joy this little girl has. I suggest watching the entire thing, well worth the 6 minutes... If not, make sure and watch from 4 minutes on...OR JUST WATCH IT ALL.

Snow #selfies

Announcement:

It is snowing in Texas, and by snowing, we are talking an inch of snow..
But hey, still snow. I have been looking out the office windows, felling like a kid ready to explode. So, naturally I went outside and took some snow #selfies. No Shame.

The only downfall is, I do not have the proper "Snow" attire. I have three sweaters, an infinity scar, a pea coat, and tall socks and my loafers LOL, that is it. I made sure to do my makeup so that I would not scare the children away looking like a  ragged snow creature :)

I know most of the state, by now, is ready for the snow to dissipate, all the whilst, I am celebrating!

I hope you all have a wonderful day, we only have one more official work day until the WEEKEND! Pumped!

Be My Valentine...

Well Valentines Day is rapidly approaching... hard to believe we are in our second month of 2014.

Husband and I are pretty cheesy and love a lot every day, but it is nice when you are able to hone in on one day to especially show your love and admiration, or appreciation for your loved one.

I though about putting a post together of some good gift choices, although they just seem to be the things I have been crushing on for some time now.

February Goals

So lets discuss the "Superbowl game", Man was that a boring, and uneventful game. End of discussion.

I thought I could start February off with a little something different...
2014

February is a month for me to start some goals and working towards things...

Goal Number One:
Work on myself: Prioritizing, procrastination, make more time for the things I enjoy.

Goal Number Two
Make more of a habit of blogging. Take the time to setup my posts, get creative with my pictures, posts, tweets. I have really been wanting to venture out and try to challenge my blogging and picture taking capabilities.

Goal Number Three
Assist more: Whether or not it is helping my husband out some more,  family, friends, co-workers, or strangers. I want people to know that they are appreciated and loved.

Goal Number Four:
Craft more: Cesar knows what that means... more watercolor, messes, crafts, and ideas galore.

Goal Number Five:
Spend more time learning new hair styles, makeup ideas, make sure to take care of my image and attitude.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful start to your week.
