Love Talk

Hey there-

It is later in the day and I was carousing my Bloglovin list for the day... I cam across a post, that instantly put tears in my eyes. In a feel good way.

Erin, over at Sweetness Itself has made a post that I hope she does not mind I take some snippet's of.

She was speaking more in general about the turn our future generations are taking, and the corners being cut  through relationships, love, marriage.

This made me extremely emotional! It could be hormones, or that typically I am an extremely emotional person, but the love you hear, in his voice for his one and only love of 75 years is amazing. 

See, I am madly in love with my husband, we are mushy and lovey-dovey and that has not really changed in the last 6 or 7 years... BUT,we still fight, bicker, I might even nag him a lot... who doesn't? That is what relationships are about, work. 

"Love is not a feeling, it is a choice."

You have to choose every morning, lunch time, and evening, to love your spouse. I guess after a while, you do realize how much of a team you are, how wonderful it feels to reach another milestone, check another "to-do" off of your lists, and undoubtedly, work you butt off to find that happy medium. If the two of you do not agree on something, work for it, or let it go. 

Please - do not think I am qualified to give marital advice, but I can say that I love my husband and step-daughter with every bit of my being. I know that sometimes, life will throw curve balls or success ... Either way, it can be hard work, the most rewarding "hard work" EVER. I did not, nor do I have the D word in my vocabulary. I feel like Cesar and I are a match made in heaven... he is my best friend, the person I vent to, my go-to pick-me-upper, advise giver, ever.

I am really looking forward to this three day weekend and spending this time with my family.

Glasses...

G'Morning!

So, after work yesterday I went to pick up Alexandria's glasses.. I have worn glasses since I was 11 or 12, I think. Alexandria has an astigmatism, but very minimal eye problems yet...lets hope she does not take after me.

She looks like such a grown up young lady, it just fills my heart with so much joy seeing what a bright, intelligent, young lady she has become... 

Her goals for me for her 8th grade year are:

We had a fabulous 3 day weekend.

Friday, we needed to get our little one glasses and a physical. Check. Check.

Food Post

I have been looking through my photos on my phone...all 2,439 of them.

I honestly do not know why I document and take so many pictures, I just love it. I am noticing a pattern, I take food photos and do not post or use them. I wonder if deep down I am nervous for back-lash because of my Diabetes, and hearing the negative comments.

Birchbox and Chia Seeds

I am really pleased with my Birchbox this month.

One of my favorite evenings in the month, are when I have this box waiting for me in the mail :)

Secret: I signed Cesar up for the male Birchbox, I might do our reviews together next month.

Now, I want to touch on my new favorite item...

Chia Seeds.

I had a co-worker introduce me to her Chia seeds months ago, after that I had kept an eye out for a good value bag... they run about 13-22.00 dollars.

One day I was surfing Groupon, and found 6 bags of Chia seeds for... 

Get this, 28.00 Dollars!!!!!

I could not pass up that bargain, I am the bargain queen.

I have added them to salads, fruit drinks, water/fruit and yogurt. Chia seeds have no flavor to me, they have a great crunch and after they touch water and hydrate, they form a Gel like consistency. For one serving, you are looking at 4 g of protein , and 11 g of fiber. Oddly enough, I feel like since I have been eating the Chia seeds, my blood sugar has been dropping. I will notice this time to time with good vitamins, I start cutting back on the amount of insulin I inject all the while, still lowering my numbers...

I would say that, even once I am out of my SUPER DUPER deal saving, I will continue to purchase them :)

Seafoam Green

I have grown to love redecorating. Recently, we re-decorated our master bedroom, now I want to start re-doing our entire home.

Cesar might get a kick out of my post... Surprise love, I want to re-decorate another room...
